These are pictures from our Fourth of July visit to our good friend Jude's excellent lakehouse. (Jude and Pam left, Kate above.) We used to live down the street from Jude in Milwaukee and now she has this great lakehouse about an hour and fifteen minutes outside of Chicago, so we're likely to visit with her several times this year. We had a great time relaxing, watching fireworks, barbequing, and laughing over a few beers with Pam and Jude. It felt just like old times on the portch in Milwaukee. It's always great to reconnect with old friends (and to meet fun new ones like Pam!)

Excellent time had by all.
Is there not a category for boats?
Sat on a pontoon boat that had no motor, both Kate and Susan Kayaked. Susan disappeared from our shoreline view. We weren't worried because
a) she insisted she was an expert swimmer
b) she responsibly took a life preserver (but refrained from wearing it)with her.
c) the lake doesn't get more than 3 ft deep (ok, 7 ft).
d) we didn't know there was a house displaying a Confederate flag on the lake until after she came back to tell us.
Get that picture of Pam and some other dorky looking woman off this blog!
Just for the record, Kate wore her life preserver the whole time (and she flosses every night too ;^)

Nice Shirt
wouldn't that be "nice boat"? ;^)
Susan
Did I say shirt?
McHenry rumour has it that the pontoon has a motor. Will try out this next floatation device and give you a full report. The swedish landscaper is there now. WIll miss you guys!
Jude
Wow . . . that really might warrant a new "boat" category! But I think we'll wait until its a little bit firmer than a rumor. :^)
Miss you guys too --
Susan
